On 21st March English National Ballet presented the FEDORA Platform on the occasion of the "Broken Wings" Masterclass with the choreographer Annabelle Lopez-Ochoa and a Company dancer, rehearsing short ballet excerps.
During this evening for their supporters, English National Ballet explored Annabelle's approach to choreographing Broken Wings, a one-act ballet focusing on the life of Frida Kahlo which forms part of English National Ballet's spring triple bill, She Persisted. The evening included an introduction to FEDORA, of which English National Ballet is a founding Platform Member.

Read moreThis year's Raodshow took place on the occasion of the dress rehearsal of the ballet "The Trial". The Trial is a new full-evening ballet inspired by Franz Kafka’s classic novel, Der Prozess, that draws you into a twisted bureaucratic maze.
For this event, the Royal Swedish Opera invited book circles, authors, young dance enthusiasts as well as students of literature, finance and political science to take part in an evening full of music, conversations and dance.

This year's Roadshow took place in the context of the annual Kick-off meeting during which Operadagen Rotterdam presented the complete programme of the 2019 festival edition.
Guy Coolen, the artistic director, introduced this year's theme and presented the content of the festival programme comprising contemporary, innovative, and ground-breaking productions, created by young and established makers from all over the world.
The evening was also an occasion to present some of the major talents and leading-edge makers that will be at the core of this year's programme.
